Chris and Spice Jones, wedding on Cape San BlasChris and I were married in the Port St. Joe State Park on Cape San Blas, Fl.  It’s a great day in Jones’ history and one of the best weddings I’ve ever planned… seriously, as a wedding planner I can honestly say that eloping is the way to go!

Visiting Paul and Barb in Winter Park…yes Paul is furry but that’s not him, that’s Mojo. And that’s Casey behind us waiting to get yelled at for eating grass.

One of the beauties of living in Colorado is having amazing friends who like to share their mountain homes. It’s especially beautiful when Boulder is overrun with people coming to the Boulder Creek Festival on Memorial Day weekend and you wish nothing more than to get out of town for a little peace and cool mountain air…and someone who will cook your dinner.  Paul and Barb are two such friends and they have an amazing home in Winter Park Colorado, about 2 hours West of Boulder! Yea for me!

Unlike sane people, Chris and I have a crazy love for little burros. We believe the world’s problems are being solved behind those blank stares and if there were only a way for us to tap into their thoughts humanity would finally find the keys to peace and brotherly love.  I’m serious, we LOVE donkeys, we take photos of donkeys, we purchase artwork with donkeys in it, we even have dreams for a little burro on our own little farm! YEA DONKEYS!!!!

Picking up from my last post…

Our fabulous condo in Atlanta’s Historic Inman Park – love this place!

I keep fussing that “I came back to Boulder” because I really needed to be in Atlanta the first few weeks of April. After many months of working through bylaws and HUD hoops, Chris and I were able to wrangle the real estate deal OF THE CENTURY and pick up a two bedroom unit on the top floor of our condo association. We were very sorry to see a neighbor and friend lose his home due to difficult times but after watching this little property sit on the HUD market for almost a year (along with being on the HOA board and dealing with the stresses caused by unpaid dues in such a small association), I am very pleased that Chris and I were able to not only purchase the unit for ourselves but we were happy to be able to bring some resolution to the stresses our little community was feeling from this “distressed property”.

Wedding photos are after the jump so keep reading!

A few months ago, media tycoon Ted Turner offered the City Of Boulder a herd of Buffalo to majestically graze on the edge of town and expose our visitors to Boulder’s wonderful Western History right from the county line. No brainer right? Not only would a herd of American Buffalo be a fabulous feather in our “Boulder’s the most thoughtful town in America” cap, it’s a perfect match for all the values we tout when it comes to endangered species, Native Americans, returning the Western Plains to their natural habitat and spending tons and tons of taxpayer dollars on the pet projects of an elite few… excuse the “pet” pun.
